I want to remove Google apps that I don't use. Movies, music, books and g+ & also maps. All are system apps. Which is the best way to remove these. They take up space plus play store keeps sending notifications about updates to these apps.

Nothing untoward will happen if they are removed right? I have frozen most of them with titanium backup and also have a backup. I guess I can always download these in future from play store if required.

Or just restore the ones you've already backed up via TiBu.

There is no absolute guarantee of nothing happening but generally speaking, you ought to be fine doing that.
If you want to be extra careful, take a nandroid backup of your current firmware via recovery (am assuming here you are running a custom ROM or at least a custom recovery) and then delete those sys apps via TiBu.

I removed the apps using titanium backup. Then cleared dalvik cache and restarted. Gained around 55MB space.:)
Apps were just 10-15 Mb in size.
