Whats the difference between LCD monitors and LED Monitors???
I am going to take a monitor soon, I liked my friends 22" Benq V2200 LED monitor...
I was thinking of taking the same...
But whats the difference between LCD and LED???

Another 22" Benq monitor with same features comes for Rs.9500 while the LED one comes for Rs.12000...

Which should I go for???
 
LED is a type of LCD. "Regular" LCDs use CCFL (flourescent) light source as their backlight. LED LCDs uses LED light source as their backlight. This provides the LED LCD set better blacks, colors, contrast, and more even image across the panel. So in theory it is definitely a better picture. Also it consumes less energy. But at the current time, you pay a huge price premium for these features.
