When did YouTube got obsessed with LGBTQ+.

Follow forum rules. Mind your language. If you are frustrated with life, start a thread and we will try to help you.
If a person wants to believe in two genders, it's their right, not bigotry just like I have the right to identify as a toaster.
What a cleaver and witty joke. Never heard that before. F**k off bigoted sh*thead.
Whatever, lot of bigot here and useless mods. Turning this place into Indian Instagram/Youtube comment section. Goodbye.

It didn't harm right now because we're not impacted. But there are multiple situation where it will goes weird. Imagine a situation when a male identify themself as women uses same washroom with my female family member. This is just one example
We will cross that bridge when we reach there.

Similar arguments were presented during women’s suffrage movement.

Criminals commit crimes. They still go inside women only areas and harass and assault them. This is no reason to deny token identity to historically marginalised group.

Moreover, the solution to that problem is making laws gender neutral.

A simple question like this doesn’t do any harm. I don’t want to get into discussions about social change, which spooks a lot of people.

My intent was to answer the original question. Harm or not was not the point. Which is a strawman argument anyway. I answered the original question. I’m out.

I guess both of these concerns are mainly about how the questions and answer options are simplified, both the page design and ease of understanding the question by the end user.
Also 2nd question, how can someone be both Man and Woman, seems like we can check the options here.
Even if we assume man and woman cannot be together, some of the other options can coexist. It is difficult to show the options where certain options can coexist and some others cannot - so they opted in the favour of more freedom for the user : shows checkbox rather than a complex way to indicate the exact options you want to select.
1st doesn’t answer the third automatically because when one says that they are cis-woman, they can be lesbian, which will make them part of the LGBTQ community but not a transgender.
1st does answer the third in the case the first answer is "No". When asked are you X, Y, Z or transgender, someone says "No", there is no point asking separately "are you transgender". But like the previous case, they kept the page design simple, by having 2 questions - when the first answer is NOT "No", then the third one does make sense like you described.

Targeting people, especially young children with toxic social media pollution. Akin to real world plastic pollution but in digital world.
The only positive side seen is a pause introduced by some western countries against early HRT therapy on children, which happened very recently. They might've done it for a reason, didn't make much news though.
In a quickly changing globalized world without tribes, walls, belonging, etc. people are looking for unique individual identity, This is a maleficent manifestation of such a quest, unfortunate.

In contrast, look at how calmly mayank is explaining instead of getting angry.

I don't understand much about this stuff, but i think this probably should be evidence based rather than emotional. If there is scientific reasoning behind it, and if the children who went through whatever come out happier and lead better life then outsiders like us, who don't understand, shouldn't be dictating shit. I don't understand why people get triggered around this.

Just from google, no idea.

Anyway, this thread started somewhere and now is going somewhere else. To me it seems OP is obsessed by it. Why else get triggered by an extra question ?
Anyway ..

Everywhere I see are bigots, dankmemers, and dogwhistlers. Maybe do some moderating as I said earlier?
Are saar sismahel main rahte ho kya...

I'm also wishing we should crossed the bridge without much trouble. I might understand your sentiment.

I also don't want to open the "Can of worms" about social change. But IMO with time we've to discussed these impact.
I've already seen in my organization, they’re fulfiling position with diversified hiring. And guess what this is not an issue, issue is people pretend as LGBTQ during hiring so they can get the job.
And the list goes on....

There are lot of arguments that the statistical data provided in relation to this is very untrustworthy.
Very young children who does not even have a mental compass on all this, their parent/s start treatments which should be considered as crime against children. Probably reason why courts / law makers are slowly changing stance now.

As far as 'triggering' is considered, any sane headed person who delved into such topic will find mass normalizing and pushing anomalies as standard or norm is a serious issue troubling societal system.

Grateful that we are having a healthy discussion around it. Shouting, swearing, berating may satisfy our urge to vent but it does not convince anyone.

Its a forum and OP is well within his right to question something and have a discussion around it. As I understood, the question being asked is why is something that constitutes 10% of the population getting 90% of the attention on a registration form.

The real question is if identifying as part of the LGBTQ+ community affects the channel in anyway. Does it boost the channel recommendations among those who are part of or sympathize with the LGBTQ+ community or have some safeguards around the channel? The rest of the questions could have been follow-up if the initial response was positive. I can see why it can be annoying if the initial answer was a no and still see more questions on the same topic.

I don't know if this is similar to lot of people wrongly self-diagnosing themselves with ADHD after suddenly discovering ADHD and having 1 or 2 symptoms for a brief period of time. There might be legitimate cases but that is likely to be a tiny minority.

When America doesn't allow children below 18 to get a simple tatoo but trusts them to make body & life changing decisions, somewhere something went wrong.

That's why I asked the question.

Look how jaguar is facing backlash on their new Brand identity.
They are trying to please a minority that could not be more than 5% (I don't know about the exact numbers just guessing) . And guess how many of those 5% are gonna buy Jaguar? let's say 5%, that's 0.25% of total population. I may be wrong but it looks like a dumb move.

I'm in no way against LQBTQ+, but seeing how most of them act and are grooming children, causing nuisance to others. And at the rate their numbers are growing. It looks more like a mental illness.
And you guys must be aware of the swimmer who changed his gender and became world champion. Problem of like this are gonna be more common.

( I'm and I identify as *some long word*) This seems to to new normal.
