SuperTorrents recently fell victim to an attack by alleged ‘Scene’ members who revealed the site owner’s identity. Further action was promised against torrent sites and today another tracker admin’s life has been turned upside down. The attacker’s message: “Destroying The P2P’s, One Step at a Timeâ€
Sceners Threaten to Destroy BitTorrent, “One Step at a Time” | TorrentFreak

Ideologically, they are on same side so this fight is perplexing to say the least. There is no doubt that the SuperTorrent admin was at fault for that one rule asking members to to "steal" torrents, but did he deserve a full fledged attack for that? i doubt it.
Piracy scene is quite complex and made of different type of people. It works because there is a sort of natural order in its seemingly anarchic system. Even leechers are essential to make torrents work. To try and forcefully shape it up will most likely result in its damage

SCENE is a place in web like where the torrents r releasd .And many of the
P2P Sites sysops and admins will be members and regulate this scene and control it.. I hope u understood!!

Of course, Pirate Bay has already been through all of this, and come out on top. they have moved their site to multiple server locations, and fought the establishment in Swedish Court, and still got away with it due to the nature of the laws in Sweden.

What is a "scene" member?

Scene is little different from your normal Torrents or P2Ps. At least in the manner Scene operates. Sceners are usually close-knit groups who share files via private IRCs and FTPs. Yes most of torrent site admins and P2P veterans are also part of scene.

Most Scene members are quite adapt and hacking/cracking/coding stuff and most of the time they are the ones who bring in the files, specially programs, games, cracks, and OSs to P2P networks.;)

Anybody can rip movies but Games and similar stuff is difficult and time consuming. Many Sceners, like Razor1911, will release stuff on torrents too but there are many who doesn't like to do so and keep their stuff within private IRCs. many also say that allowing P2P users, specially those active in torrent communities, an entry into Scene is a security threat to their networks as many outsiders and unknown faces enter their channels and it is difficult to regulate stuff.

This, while somewhat true, is largely snobbish. :P

While there is no denying the importance of scene and the *hard work* that scene members put in, it is also true that torrent communities also play their part in file-sharing culture and none can be deemed better than other.

There is no law in this fight. It's in-house stuff
