hello guys,

When shud I upgrade my PC ? I need a future ready pc

Shud I take dual core or quad core or true quad core ?

Intel or AMD ?

shud I wait for 1 year ?

My current PC is running on a single core AMD 3500+ 939

plz help me.
 
are u a gamer??if you are then wait for crysis to come out..have a look at the benchmarks and then decide on which rig u wanna buy..crysis is gonna release sometime in november
 
The fact is that each day better hardware keeps coming out and the previous generation becomes cheaper. If you buy today, you risk looking silly next month when the hardware you bought has dropped down in price.
So in my opinion, hold on to your hardware as long as it is adequate to do what you need it for.
Upgrade when you find that your hardware is inadequate for your then current need. That way you'll end up taking a decision later in the cycle, making a better choice available. Don't try to time the market as it really doesn't matter too much. It is not up and down like a stock market but is constantly going down.

True.

New hardware keeps coming out all the time, so there is not really anything as a "right" time to upgrade. Upgrade when you feel that your configuration is no longer adequate to meet your computing needs whether it be gaming, graphics, general, or whatever purpose you use the PC for. :)
