Whenever I try to play mp4 file, system shows"windows explorer stopped working"..!

restart program, close the program....

When I try to do either of these, the system hangs for some seconds, then closes the whole thing and shows desktop....

I downloaded a movie, It was inside a folder, with the mp4 file inside it. Even if I just select the folder the system shows the error.... So I can't even delete the cursed folder now.....

I would appreciate it if someone tell me how to delete the folder altogether, (as a last option, I'd like to watch the movie.. ..........

EDIT: I tried to restart and open, Its shows the error slow the first time... So when I opened the folder, the default symbol on the file was that of Windows media player.... So I tried with media player classic & vlc player to open the file to no avail.... But this time the error was" mpc (or) vlc player stopped working".....!

I can play all other media files.....
