Market Feedback Where are my moved threads

There should be amicable approach for ignorants rather than dictatorship.

1. Some notice needs to be given to OP may be 1 hour or so for doing as per rules to avoid waste of one's efforts. In case no response, threads can be deleted.

2. In case mods enjoy deleting threads without notice, it should be at least recoverable for sometime in trash bin.

Rules should be friendly and not sadistic in approach. If sometime is given to OP for restoration, certainly he will move his threads to respective section and not going to repeat it next time for sure. Permanent deletion of threads is very harsh step and that is not the only solution to abide by Rules. Contention of Rules should be user friendly and not Vindictive in nature.

I am seriously hurt by deletion of my threads without notice as I am having these spare products since long but could get time yesterday to post in the market. Freaky has given notice and immediately I started moving my thread to respective section but could move only one thread as all remaining were deleted immediately WITHOUT NOTICE TIME. It is time for mods to introspect yourself before forming/implementing rules.

@crazy eddy

I created a WTB thread in the market section which got deleted. I created it in the wrong sub forum, I admit that I made a mistake, but still you can notify the users when threads get deleted.

@simforgotten: You want a warning PM? :O

Had a quick look at your posts, can't see anything deleted. Can you point me to a thread?
There are no PMs for deleted posts.
a) If your threads are trashed, contacting the market mod is pointless, you should head to the rules.
b) Even after the mods said a warning PM was sent, you still kept blabbering about no notification
I have already warned you before, please stop spamming - especially in the serious sections.
sorry mod, but you can't term this post as a spam. we the usual members have no idea, if your thread are moved or trashed - as you don't notify us. So a generic suggestion contact the market mods.

Another issue:
yesterday i reported one thread :
http://www.techenclave.com/graphic-cards/card-help-me-play-games-1920-a-194674.html
A similar thread was started yesterday morning, so no point of starting the same thread with a different configuration at night. i asked you to merge it, but its still there:|

Those are very sensible suggestions :)

i guess, all this could have been avoided if the thread was recoverable! i am not saying recoverable for an indefinite period of time, but at least for a fixed time period , say a few hours!

after al, making a thread with uploaded pics and all takes time! Not everyone will have the luxury of unlimited free time, to do it all over again !

Also, lots of time, my posts get deleted

1 market thread = lots of times ?

Also yes you were notified. If you do not believe me, there is a big highlighted announcement at the top of the market section.

And the relevance to this thread is.. ?

@Raj - Read the rules. If you are not bothered with reading them up we cant help it. It has made a huge sticky at the top of the section. Rules are rules and anyone who has posted in the wrong section of the market had their threads trashed.

Why not take 5 minutes to read to the rules before creating the thread?

The market mods has a hell of a lot of work to do there is little to no time to sit and write up notifications for thread deletion. If your thread is trashed then you have not followed the rules.

If you feel that your thread has been trashed even after following all the rules then please post the same in feedback section.

^^ TE is a public discussion platform, where we can place out view, and thats what i did - you are saying this as Spam :|

Purpose of forum is welfare of connected community and rules should be modified accordingly. No one could realize so far that I devoted hell of time to create six threads at a time and no back up is with me. Permanent deletion of so many threads is like punishing dreaded criminals and certainly not in favour of community.

We have repeated it umpteen times. Why didn't you bother to take 5 minutes and read up the sticky of the rules before devoting lots of your time in thread creation?

So consider this a lesson learnt.

i) Always take a few minutes to read the rules sticky.

ii) Have a backup handy so that you can always post them back in case your thread is trashed for not conforming to the rules (Of course with necessary changes to backup)

Rules have been made for the betterment of community so that the market section is organized. If you don't read them then it doesn't mean they are not for the community welfare. Market section is one place where rules are implemented strictly.

If you cant bother to read them up then well you have to learn them the hard way (Guess that way you might not make the same mistake again which is well a good thing, right?)

Do we have any system of backing up our threads in attachments or something
This way FS or WTB thread openers can backup their first post only
As maximum discussions and arguments are on this only
if they dont back up their mistake
this feature should be only for market section thread
Sticky is there but this can be an added feature
After that no pm should be sent when market thread are trashed
as rules and announcements are their for everyone to read

Is it possible theoretically ?

Err Darike....i guess the mistake won't be repeated coz he's no more willing to create the sales thread. That hasn't served the purpose of rules either ;).

Can't we have something like - once a thread has been found violating rules, the thread can be made invisible to other members unless the required changes are implemented by the OP.

Still notification system would be better, or what about moving the threads to the draft section.

If people don't bother following the rules then they are discouraged from using the market section.

Even I have had my market threads deleted a couple of times in the past! Not a biggie, I accepted it since it was my fault that I did not read the rules! "Get over it and move on", would all I say!

Buddy you have posted this umpteen times and mods have already explained its not feasible. So it seems a bit pointless that you keep posting the same!

Just Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V to a word document. If thread is deleted due to non-compliance of rules then you can create a new thread by posting the same in the correct section after making appropriate changes.

I have learnt lesson and not going to sell anything here in hostile environment. Rather would prefer to delete my account on TE if possible to avoid harassment.

Oh well, can't make horse out of donkeys, can we now?

I think by max what mods can do is move it to the draft section. But then again- will people bother to look there or will they still create threads demanding that they should have been notified?

I would have agreed if the member's market section was a premium service. But its not. The forum is run with community effort and everyone will have to do their bit. Expecting notifications, asking to implement something that will be a resource hog, using general section as a yahoo forum thread where you can ask about deos, soaps, undies, exotic dominatrix costumes is way over the head.

As it is we lost the rig gallery section and to make it worse, member's contribution section is pushed at the bottom of the forum with the ye old Content Break code is thrown out of the window. If we're going to implement anything, rig gallery implementation and/or remake of the member's contribution takes way higher priority then taking a member market section.

Someone please do the honors :P

Harassment? Seriously?? Who forced you to come to TE in the first place?
