Graphic Cards Where have these once popular GPU cos. gone?

I was googling for something and bumped into PNY and Leadtek and I was instantly was taken aback to the thrilling era of 2k4-2k10..

We used to find GPUs from these brands all over sites and google and even in India some of these brands were available easily with local retailers.

So wanted to know why the popularity of these brands suddenly faded away...
Seems they are now restrictive only to their parent countries or very selective regions.

PNY, Leadtek, BFG, Point of View, Gainward, Chaintech, PNY, Palit, HIS, Galax

I personally owned one Leadtek 8800 and some HIS ice cool card. Need to hunt them in my scrap if they are even their or I gave/sold them off!

There was one more Manli brand which was very controversial a decade ago as people pointed fingers at local shops stating they were forcing them to opt for this new chinese fake brand during Galax and XfX reigning days.

I'm sure very older members will be aware of these once very popular names and some Manli threads..

Palit acquired Gainward. It now sells GPU under GALAX brand and you can buy them in India.

Leadtek, HIS, and PNY are still around although they are not available in India. Probably too much hassle for too little revenue for them.
