Where should I purchase Panasonic Lumix LZ8 from?

I need to get the Panasonic Lumix LZ8 in Bangalore. I missed the sale on eBay where it was available for 5,225/- (I think stalker had recommended this eBay seller.)

I see that it's available for 6.5K on eBay. Camera Citi on Brigade Road is offering it for 8.5K and the Panasonic Brand Shop at Koramangala is asking for 9K(maybe 8.5K with discount). I don't feel like paying that much for a budget digicam.

Now, I'm not sure of other eBay sellers esp. for Panasonic warranty and unless I could get it for around 5K, I don't want to take a chance. But, I do not know of a good store in Bangalore where I could get it for a reasonable price.

Anyone got a good deal from a local store or know of a store in Bangalore offering the LZ8 at a good price?

(We need some good TE sellers for cameras also)
 
I was in the same dilemma.I got a Panny dealer in bangalore quote 6.5K for me.So I ended up buying at Ebay for 6.5K along with warranty and 2gig card.
 
Hey you can try in National Market, underground floor. I dunno the exact name of the shop, but he is an authorized dealer for Panasonic!!! I was shocked too, but then he showed me Panasonic ads in that day's paper and his shop listed as an authorized dealer.

You get 3 years warranty. For free stuff just bargain with him.
 
Guys, thanks for the info. I see that JJMehta has just listed the LZ8 for 6K on their website. I'm tempted to check out this place in National market...maybe he will have a better price, but the convenience of ordering online is something I will have to consider.

Which Panny dealer? Where is he located?

Ummm some dealer I got from googling from the Panasonic site.He called me up to quote the price, which was pretty much Ebay price without the card and stuff.I was not too keen, so never bothered.I'll try to hunt down his number again if you would like.
 
I don't have his phone number :( Are you getting warranty if you buy online? You might get it for 5.5-6k if you buy it from National Market. See if you can find a Panasonic ad in the paper, you can see his number there.

Use HZ1M0DJH4B (15% off max 750) = 6640-750 = 5890

If it's not too much trouble, it would be great to have the info because all the dealers I've met are keep too much margin.

Hmm..I don't know but I think JJMehta is quite a reputed concern. But, at this price point for the LZ8, I'm not too worried.

Yes, I am getting 3 years warranty as per the Ebay page.
 
Received my Panny Lz8 a day ago which I bought at Ebay at 6.8 K with 2 gig card and 3 years warranty.
And now I see an ad in Bangalore Times where Photo Speed(dunno whether he is a regd dealer or not) is selling the LZ8 at Rs 5995/- with 1 gig card, battery charger, pouch and 3 years warranty:@ :@ :@ :@
This is so friggin unfair :(

Checked it out, didnt check all the shops and few i checked didnt have panasonic. in any case the difference for a 10k camera was 1k. no point in saving 1k and not getting any warranty
 
JJ Mehta has a good deal on the LZ8 - 5999 with a 2gb card, a pouch, 2NiMH batteries + charger, plus 3 years warranty.

would have picked up one, but a little tight on cash here :(
 
Got my Panny LZ8 from JJMehta for 6,174/- with 2GB Kingston SD card + GP charger and two 2100 mAh batteries (GP - Gold Peak, website @ www.gpbatteries.com, batteries are made in China) two days ago.

They are very fast once the money is dispatched. The item arrived by EMS speedpost.
