I am looking to buy 500GB WESTERN DIGITAL PASSPORT external HDD(non-glossy). What is the current price and where can I order it from online. ebay prices are bloated. Not sure if its listed in techshop.in. Pl help!

Is compatibility and a power connector a big issue? If not get urself a WD MyBook home or the cheaper 320gigs drive from WD Passport.

Power connector will definitely be an issue.
I dont mind spending 8k. I just dont want to pay more than the right price.

2. All are essentially a laptop hard drive inside a casing, so thats the general size you are going to get Mediahome too had some 500Gbs for sale I think. Check Dealer section.

pick the transcend cheap better built , even the verbatim same warranty less price. or else for that price get the seagate's moer warranty.

sata casing around 350-700
