Do this and you can activate the game on steam. On another note, CSS would be a better option than 1.6.
 
But I guess he will have no server problems with CS1.6. Or maybe his system is a bit old.

BTW, OP, there several games in that Anthology pack including CS 1.6.
 
Well i have a very good system,but its just that i have a server on cs 1.6 so cant quit playing it. :)

Ahem..Your statement does not go down well with Indians. :P People still love 1.6.All servers of 1.6 are always full but CSS servers are always empty in India..
 
Not sure where you've been. Most of the CSS servers are full, and since there are proper mods for autoscrims, a LOT of players scrim as well.

This is not 2005.
 
CS 1.6 is the rank 1 multiplayer game for last 10-12 years. Number of players in CS 1.6 is lot lot more than CSS throughout the whole world. Its not 2005, its 2011 but still people love 1.6 and get addicted towards it in no time.

Here we go again, 1.6 vs Source. Having played both for a long time, both competitively and for casual gaming, I think Source is much better suited for more casual CS players. Better graphics, rag doll physics etc. But when you see what ESWC, WCG and other big lan tourneys play, it is still 1.6.

Just my $0.02 :)
 
Well..i have both 1.6 and source. And 1.6 is the game i still play and it remains the best 10$ i've ever spent because of my friend's sh1t Pc's.The only servers i get in source are those US and UK based ones.Just see game monitor and game tracker before mounting an attack on me.

@Aman..i know this is not 2005 dude but for many in India it's still 2001.And do you find atleast 1 university/college where they conduct CSS?

Except India Gunner ,ive never ever ever found a worthy CSS server in India.

I think u people play on Singapore servers right??
