Storage Solutions Where to buy in Bangalore/Chennai?

Hello everyone!

I just bought a HP DV6T QUAD EDITION from USA and within a month the bundled Hitachi 7k250 died on me. Its still under warranty and they would gladly replace it back in States. But here in India, they would only do it if the identical model is sold here, which is not the case. In the meantime i send it over there for replacement, which could be months, i have decided to buy a replacement here.

I'm looking at either Hitachi Travelstar 7K250/320/500 or Seagate Momentus 7200.4. I'm based in Madurai and had no luck here. So if the above mentioned are available in Chennai or B'lore, please point me in the right direction.

Ritchie Street (Near Hindu Office, off Mount Road) in Chennai is the computer market. Delta Peripherals is a popular retailer. SP Road (Near KR Market) is the Bangalore equivalent. Common advice at both places - dont hesitate to ask at as many shops and bargain hard.

You might as well order it from one of the dealers on TE too, to save yourself the trouble.
 
Mate, your best bet is Ritchie street.

I had replaced the HD on my old HP Omnibook, with a Seagate HD I bought from there, at a really good price too!

You'll have to scout a bit, to get a good deal.
