My friend has this 1.5TB Seagate FreeAgent Desk ext desktop hdd.
Apparently, it's power adapter is not working. I tried my other friend's adapter and it worked.
So we need to buy the adapter for his HDD.
specs are
DV output 12V 2amp

Does Seagate sell it as accessory, ie separately ?
 
Dude - what is the voltage/current/pin type needed? You can replace it with an equivalent adapter.

If you want genuine stuff - look at flea markets ;)

Can you post a pic of the original power adapter. I might have one from Seagate or WD lying around .

but can someone help me too with the power adapter?I need one for a local USB casing.its power connection looks like that of old mouse and keyboards.

it has PS2 output port,something like we have on old mouse/keyboards....

I think this is 1 year old or so, it came wit my WD nas drive,I retained the power adapter when sending form RMA
