where to get canon tx1?

hi folks, finally im decided on the camera... its going to be tx1 (yes i just need the hd video that much)... ive inquired in few places... they are asking rs. 15600 for it (with canon warranty) and a little over 12000 in grey market...
does anyone know better price for this cam...
also id like to know is what memory card should i buy with this cam.. its my first cam so i dont have much experience with the memory cards.... from what ive read so far sandisk sdhc extreme3 8gb is good enough for the time being. the camera dealer quoted 3500 for the card.. is it a good price? also id like to know the price of NB-4L lithium-ion rechargeable battery.

Here is some unsolicited advice, take a look at Panasonic TZ5 too before you buy the TX1. It also has HD video capture and playback.

Its a teeny bit larger but is better in almost every aspect. 9MP, bigger sensor, wide angle, faster lens etc etc

EDIT - Just saw in the other thread, by Tekky, that its listed on ebay. Panasonic Lumix, Digital Cameras, Cameras Optics items at low prices on eBay India

i looked into tz5 but people have been complaining alot about the focus issue with zoom while in movie mode... t

Dunno how fast extreme 3 is, but u can source an 8Gb SDHC class6 card from the US through KMD for around 2-2.2k. If you have someone coming over, its around 1.5k

EDIT: Yup, just checked, the extreme III series is class 6 too

tx1 is available for 12600 on sify shopping... but as we know it has only vendors warranty... anyone here purchased stuff from sify? hows their experienced

Avoid sify and rediff at any cost.. Have only heard bad reviews about them.. Look into indiaplaza.in to see if you can find it there.. else get from an ebay powerseller with at least 99% positive ratings and who's a member at ebay for at least 1 year or so.
