Where to get Xbox360 NTSC modded in Mumbai ?

Hi ppl my friend has brought his Xbox 360 from USA & we wanted to get it modded from Mumbai.
I have heard that some shops at Heera Panna do that for a charge.
Does anyone have any idea about this or what amount they charge ?

Also if I mod the console can i play on XBL with original games ?
After modding can I play any region games on it ?
If there are any other demerits to modding please tell me about those too.

PS- The console is going to be used in USA.

Dunno where you can get it modded, it's best to do it yourself or use one of the professional services of a lot of sites provide upstate.

Whether you are able to plan on XBL really depends on what soft-mod (firmware patch) is used. The latest patches mostly allow you to plan on XBL till the time microsoft doesn't come out with another patch. You have to keep on updating your firmware patch all the time to be able to play on live with a modded box.
