my room @kolkata-142 sq ft with height-9 ft
not top floor with north-west facing without direct sunlight
one computer with one person occupying

i have made some choices please suggest one_

1.whirlpool 1.2 ton magicool 5 star
2.sharp AH-XP 13LV 1.1 TON
3.voltas classic 1.2 ton 155cx
i want to know

1.which will be best for my room and why?
2.whether my calculation for tonnage requirements are right or under rated or overrated?
3.whether whirlpool/sharp has good after sales service+ proper direct installation service(not franchise)
4. what are the installation kits i should tell those people to bring(cause they tend to ignore basic min requirement of proper installation)
5.mouthshut's review on sharp was disastrous....is it true on ground level?
6.any other suggestion you want to give regarding this...
7.could you provide one certified AC installer's number in kolkata?

You have not mentioned your budget and usage. Anyway if it is around 8 hours or more stick with inverters. Depending on your budget choose wisely. Any 1 to 1.1 ton inverter will do the job for your room.

Regarding Sharp Kolkata ASS response it have been positive. If you go for sharp 1.1 ton inverter it will come with free installation kit. So you just need to buy the L stand for the ODU unit. From what I hear it will cost around INR 31K in Kolkata for 13LV after hard bargaining.

My certified AC installer is in Dubai. Don't know when he will come.

Lastly I am simply bored with the fact that people are buying only Sharp Inverters. OK I admit they are great VFM, but Panasonic are really great too.

Sometimes I feel guilty of the fact that I started the trend of Sharp Inverters, where as what I really meant was to go for Inverters. Not just Sharp but others too.

Hope you all the best. :)

Since you stated that panasonic inverters are good, but the sales guy in vijay sales outlet also said that sharp aircon saves more than 48% energy while panasonic saves upto 50%..He said there is vast difference in these claims,so he said sharp is best in inverters, but cant these be marketing gimmicks??
That is one more pointmade by the SA that made me buy sharp... :)

@RishiGuru
thanks for your sincere reply..my usage will be around 5hours max per day...
i have got whirlpool magicool 1.2 ton 5 star for-27.5k in kolkata
i have got sharp ah-xp 13 lv for about 31.5k in kolkata
installation kit is free for both but in whirlpool they are not taking installation charge(1500)
so almost 4.5k saved if i go for whirlpool ..... but ....if i go for whirpool whether it will be foolish or i will be a loser ?
do you know about whirlpool ACs...what about their performane ,ASS,compressor and cooling?
thanks again...
people in various showroom are actually discouraging to take sharp ac ..donno why..
