Which bank does not charge anything on cash deposit in other branches ?

IDBI and State Bank of Travencore are few banks which were not charging anything for such transactions (atleast last year). Some of the government banks do charge a % or a minimum transaction fee, for example Indian Overseas Bank/ Syndicate Bank used to charge rs 10.

It depends on how much minimum balance you have in your account.

In hdfc if quarterly balance across all your family member is around 2 lakhs than they doesnt charge.

For government best bet is idbi.But it wont last long .
 
I believe it depends on the type of account/balance you I have. Almost all bank charge for non home branch cash deposits for the zero balance accounts or normal savings accounts.
 
i have an account in Axis Bank and they never charged me for other branch deposits. i will be doing cash deposits to my own account and for my friends accounts as well which is in other branches.
 
SBI is best choice

Though a government bank its service is good and so is their number of branches per city

Their charges are also very less

I have an SBI account since 1.5 year and no problems yet

SBI charges 25/- for every non-home deposit.

I know of HDFC & IDBI. But in HDFC, the depositer has to be the owner itself, otherwise they'd charge. (they told me like that).

And partially its in Union bank also. I'm saying partial. because in my city on branch charges for non-home deposit, rest (all remaining) don't.
