Which BT Client do u use?

I wouldn't say there is a single best torrent client, each has its features, I use many clients, here are short reviews

ctorrent - Console client which is simple and fast, but unfortunately it doesn't allow selectively downloading files. So when I need that I use -

BitTornado - Nice client, quite powerful, unfortunately it uses Python, and wxPython for its GUI. Still not bad, and one gets loads of features.

BitComet - This is one nice client, powerful & fast. It is great when one needs to download multiple files.

Anyone knows a good non java/python console/GUI client for unix which can allow choosing files to leech, and allow changing the listen port?

Hmm... in case we are using a private tracker for downloading, then it gets itself disconnected to tracker and ur data transfers are not recorded. We will have to manually reconnect to tracker.

Some trackers have blacklisted Bitcomet. But otherwise it's a good client, the new version also supports trackerless downlaod support.

hmmm i use bit tornado for single downloads..
and when i wanna queue up downloads i use ABC version 3.0...
abe is like the big brother of bit tornado.. with queuing ability..

tried azureus, bit spirit and bit comet for somereason they didn`t work my humble dialup..
the older versions of bit spirit was good they worked very well with dial up the newer versions didn`t even have any option for dial-up.. :(

I m currently using Azureus 2.3.0.2 :hap2: and love the features.

I think Bitcomet is good too, takes lesser resources than Azureus.

if u r on lan, comet is the best bet

fusion lan usually gives a lot of problem in torrents (unless port forwarding is done)

Whats a fusion lan, i connect through a lan and have no problems. Port forwarding is not enabled.
