Which cable is this and how to diy

Hi

I am pretty sure that this inlaid cable in my house is a Lan cable but not entirely sure.

Can someone confirm if this is a lan cable and not the one user for phone?

I have always had the Internet guy put the rj45 connectors at the end of these and they always have a special tool.

Is it possible for me to put a connector at the end of this by myself assuming it is an ethernet cable.

Use a crimping tool and yiu will also need a jack and boot

Looks like a cat6 cable. U need crimping tool and the connector

For 100mbps connections, even a cat4 cable will suffice
Thanks for your inputs... Saw a couple of youtube videos on how to connect a Port without a crimping tool using scissors and screw driver... Will try tomorrow

Mine is a 300 mbps connection so hopefully this is higher than cat 4

Yes it's. Cat4 have only 4 wires similar to telephone wire
