Which CD ripping software to use? (newb alert)

I want to rip songs from my audio CDs. I usually listen to 320kbps MP3 files which are usually around 10MB for a 3min song.

I have never ripped songs before but I know both itunes and WMP can do the job, apart from the many others. However I am curious as to which one is good and can be universally used across all my portable players. I was about to rip it through itunes but was unsure if I will be able to use it with my phone and other devices.

Any suggestions?

Use iTunes/WMP, ensure that setting is set to MP3, 320Kbps, NO DRM. I dunno if itunes has this option (as IMO, its mega crap), but WMP has this option.

^^ Yes, plus the support for auto-tagging and AlbumArt make it convenient to categorize and store music.

Else, you can use Winamp!, but be wary the standard free edition of Winamp! only comes with support for following RIP-formats --> .m4a [.aac], .flac, .ogg, it can also convert any existing files to these formats.

To unlock the support for RIP to -- .mp3, .wma -- you need to get the full version of Winamp!.

EAC.KEEP lossless FLAC copies of your CD s as master copy.use LAME Encoder to encode to desired compression. time tested solution for best quality!!!!!!
