Hey one of my friend needs to get a gaming console. His budget is max 20k for it.

Me being a hardcore pc gamer have no idea about consoles.

Suggest the best one for him which can be modded.

Waiting for valuable suggestions.

Best place to get in Mumbai Lamington road or heera panna or manish market?

How much would modding cost?

Only two awesome consoloes there (1)The X360 (2)PS3 Slim

I suggest you go for the ps3 slim, it has more exclusives or if you want good gfx then go for the x360. Not much of a difference but still x360 has better gfx.

PS3.

Don't even look anywhere else :)
This.

And jojo is right for only multiplatform games, and his saying that 360 has better gfx is ignorant of him.

please shut your pie hole and give me reason before posting anything nonsense. Thank you. No offense intended. :)
no one cares.

^Buddy, this thread is only about "consoles", as you are a "Pro" you already know that PC will always have awesome grafics and so do all. I'm only talking about the ps3 and x360. We aren't discussing about Pc here as OP mentioned that he is only looking for a good console.

Did any of my above 2 post's have the word PC in them? If yeah then i need a new pair of eyes. Care for a donation?

Dude U said "multiplatform". This means the game might me also come for the PC and obviously PC has the best gfx. But if your meaning consoles then u should said console exclusive or something like that. :| And in this case x360 mostly has the best gfx of the two. And this is not my research, check out ign and gamespot and such other sites.

The gfx quality difference is minimal tbh... you probably won't notice it unless you're using a uber high-end display.

By multiplatform i meant which are on both the 360 and PS3. And this is a known knowledge that PC will always have better gfx than consoles, i didn't even take that in consideration. And as Dhruv said, until and unless you have a 40"+ TV, u can't make out the difference.

1080p doesn't mean anything if the panel is crappy...
And the size ofc. 1080p does not make an iota of difference if the panel is 24" and below. Manufacturers have started cramping full-hd resolutions into almost any panel these days. I have a 24" SPVA LCD here and a 40" SPVA LCD TV. Red Dead looks uber crappy on the LCD TV whereas others have reported that the game looks decent on the 22-24" LCD monitors.

Multi-Platform games look relatively sharper and have more vibrant colours on the 360. PS3's Quincunx AA system adds a blur filter and hence most of the games have a soft and blurry look, with certain exclusive titles being an exception and looking much sharper and vivid in sporting the colour patterns.
