CPU/Mobo Which cpu/mobo to buy?

I have currently pentium 4 3ghz(worst processor ever) with intel 915gev (worst mobo ever) lol

Is core i5 processor good?

What about mobo. Is gigabyte good?

Budget - 15k

My current hardware configuration:

1. CPU - Intel Pentium 4 3GHz 630

2. Motherboard - Intel 915GEV

3. GPU - XFX 9600GT 512MB

4. RAM - Kingston 1GB + 512 MB DDR2

5. Monitor - Compaq 7500

6. SMPS - Coolermaster 460W extreme power :p

7. Speakers - Creative Inspire 5.1 5200



I need a new cpu for playing games like GTA IV, Crysis. lol

I heard X-Box 360 prices have been slashed recently?

And I know my coolermaster psu sucks. :D

Anyways one should choose a CPU/ MObo combo that'll meet his requirements not to waste money and always flaunt off

OP why don't you specify the needs for this combo ?

What are the softwares , games , anything else you wanna do ?

A very stubborn OP I guess , even after emphasising from fellow members to follow the format OP won't do so

WTF i did mention the budget the first time.

I just want to know the best processor-mobo combo within 15k.

It was actually I wanted to know the purpose , requirements for which you want the combo . That 's all , nothing else

Yes you may think that why does a noob wan't to know , but if you specify the requirements for which you you wan't the machine all the Tech gurus will be able to give better advice

Core i5 750 - 9.9k
Intel DP55 WB - 5.7k ( If you won't overclock )

Total - 15.5k

If you have more money to spend then buy

Gigabyte GA P55M UD2 - 6.7k
MSI P55 CD53 - 7k
