i think the windows 3gb limit makes us tough to imagine how cheap this has been....or else we all would had been around 8gb ram on our system and still would had cried to get more....
Magnet, are u serious? Do you really think any ram upwards of 3GB will actually help a system perform much better? I am not an expert but i guess that the performance gain may only be a few picoseconds or femtoseconds for a DVD to xvid rip....so is it really worth having 8GB of ram on a system for that 4-5 FPS improvement?

arey i guess more the ram more the program u can run in background......thats my logic goes..anyways anish i guess vista 64 bit is the answer u mean??right na??

one can have the windows xp 64 bit version also, its floating around the net these days. i dont need to mention were !! :-)

Really good prices. Finally seeing saner prices for these sticks. Actually now its less than neweggs :)

That is good news !!

Me off to buy another X2 3600+ and Jetway combo today for a friend..
Ofcourse.. wid the 2gb Kingston 667 !! :D

Yesterday, I paid 2.7k for 2x1gb Dynet DDR2-667... I've heard this does 800mhz easily, but I will be testing it this weekend.

^ Eagerly awaiting you reports Rio. Even if it touches 760Mhz, I'm gettin 4 of 'em :D

@ rajshah - 3 Years :)

@raj, I believe it's got 3 years warranty.

@anish, if I get a chance I'll check it out tonight itself :P

@RiO and anish.. Thanks guys ! :)

3yrs.. not bad.. i mite pick them up instead of kingston if the price difference is worth it !!

Kinston 1.5k per gig, Transcend 1.6k per gig - probably because of their retail packaging.

Each stick comes in a bright green paper wrapper, which doesn't qualify as packing even :P
