Storage Solutions which external/internal harddisk to buy from USA

Hello,

I have a $50 amazon coupon and looking for increasing my storage capacity.
Should I go for a seagate 3TB or WD 3TB?

Amazon.com: Western Digital My Book Essential 3 TB USB 3.0/2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive: Electronics - $150

I am not sure about the warranty for this item in india.
In general the feedback is OK but there are some DOA cases as well.

I am thinking of buying since I have a $50 coupon.
Any suggestions?
Or which internal drives to buy?
 
warranty is not available for hard disks bought outside india.

buy a hdd inside india. get something else with the amazon coupon.
seagate or wd, both are good. depends on luck mostly whether the hdd will go bad imo.
 
^^ You are wrong. For WD products international warranty is available... You can confirm this with WD...
