Storage Solutions Which Format to choose : DVD-R or DVD+R

I have a large collections of movies on my hard drive.
So gonna make movie DVDs by using convertXtoDVD

I am confused on which format to choose for disk.
DVD-R or DVD+R.

Suggest some good brand Also. (Was gonna purchase Verbatim DVD+R spindle from 1 TE dealer though)

I am having HP DV6 laptop with DVD -+ RW writer with Light scribe. I have burned both DVD-R and DVD+R Disks on my writer before, and also My Videocon DVD Player plays both the formats without any issues.

Please suggest me regarding this.

PS: I already read the sticky post regarding storage media, but couldn't come on any decision.

DVD+R is preferable 'coz slightly denser recording layer.. Allegedly it gives better life in the long run.... (debatable)....

Get those Verbatim.. they are quite good...
