A low cost option you can try is TP-Link. They may not be that well know but their stuff is good. You could look at the TL-SG1008D. The only drawback is that it is not suitable for rack mounting as it uses a plastic case. TP Link products like Huawei are a rave in the Telecom / ISP segment due to their low cost / high reliability.
Finally bought this - Netgear WNR3500 from NewEgg. Was refurb, but price was awesome $32, and got it yesterday in my hand through KMD. Total damage 2.45k
And the great part is that I got the v2 model of the router and it supports DD-WRT too.
