Hey I wanted to know of the which of the cards should I
buy:huh: :

1> Geforce 6600 128Mb AGP
2> Geforce 5700 Ultra 128 Mb AGP

Also Mention the Brand from which I should buy like gainward ,XFX etc:huh: .

My Config is :

Motherboard: Asus A7V8X-X Motherboard
Processor: AMD Athlon XP 2000+
Hardiskeagate 40GB
Ram: Hynix 256 MB DDR-SDRAM PC2700
Graphic Card: NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 Model 64
Optical Drive: Samsung Combo Drive

Budget: 4-6k
Please solve buy probs?:help:

Well I could say that I have a 256 MB Asus 5700 ready for sale at half your budget but I won't;)

I'd say a 6600 128 MB will make more sense...the extra pp's and shader performance will more than compensate for the ultras high clock speeds..

Brand Leadtek....Still feel 'that' way about XFX....
 
You can buy the GeForce 6600, its better than the 5700 in every aspect. Though XFX will do, I recommend a brand like Asus or Gainward or Gigabyte for rock-solid stability and compatibility. :)
 
XFX is in no way inferior dude...
I have used both Asus,XFX,no doubt Asus is better but its insanely priced too.
XFX was a bit shaky earlier, but day by day they are improving immensely.

It is gaining popularity in the US too.
 
Lets look at the long term longvity of the product. So did everyone say Club 3d was a good brand, but its no coincidence that so many of its product are failing consistently in India.

Also Asus has reduced its pricing somewhat, but then again we have companies like Gigabyte, and MSI having prices at par with XFX, I would pick them over XFX.

XFX though has a good presence here in India.

Aces is MSI similarly priced over here in India?? Would the difference be say 2-3 K max for a 7800GT?? I can pay that much for a better brand (or what I feel is a better brand (sorry rahul, dark L:P )
