Need to upgrade the 40GB 4200 rpm on my Compaq V2000 notebook

These are the contenders:

1) SAMSUNG Spinpoint M MP0804H 80GB 5400 RPM ATA-6 -

Price 5000/-

2) Western Digital Scorpio WD800VE 80GB 5400 RPM ATA-6

3) Fujitsu MHV2080AH 80GB 5400 RPM ATA-6

4) HITACHI Travelstar 5K100 HTS541080G9AT00 (13G1584) 80GB 5400 RPM ATA-6

Price for 2/3/4: 5200/-

Common specs:

Average Latency: 5.5ms
Average Seek Time: 12ms
Cache: 8MB

Since the prices and specs for all are almost the same, I guess it's the reliability of the brand that comes into play....
What would you guys go with?

Id go with the Hitachi or WD.. Since they are low heat generating.

Samsung HDD's are known to generate a lot of heat. I have no clue about Fujitsu.

guess i'll take the hitachi....

As for the fujitsu, I had heard that they are the least noisy and the most dependable of the lot...

Any comments on the fujitsu...am planning to pick one up today, so quick reply really appreciated :)

The HDD change by itself is a >5 min self-done job, though the subsequent OS install etc. will obviously take longer
