Which IEM for 1.5k ?

Guys my PL-30 died yesterday.Want something good with good bass.I will be using it with my cell and ipod.Please suggest something valuable and good for 1.5k.

i like to hear trance and in house music alot so i want 50% more bass and can invest 500 more if worth....
 
^^^ So that brings your budget to 2K... something i have been looking for quite a while now.

IEM for house/ electronica ? Nothing fits the bill as perfectly as he Brainwavz M2 for such music , but new is like 2650 and way beyond your budget. Maybe you can find a used deal for 2kish.

Other options worth considering , MEElectronics M6 , Brainwavz M1/Pro Alpha :).
 
@Faheem, Can't he get RE2, if he extends his budget slightly?

I loved my Upgrade from PL30 to RE2.

I know it has less bass, but its balanced. :)
 
Next option is I wait for a month and extend my budget to 5k but then I would love to buy headphones.....
 
Me too looking for a change from PL-30. How good is the RE2 in terms of bass. And which one wins between M2 and RE2 ?
 
Like Faheem said, Extend your Budget slightly upto 2.6k and get Brainwavz M2, Really worth it for every Genre out there, good thing is , it performs out of the box, no need for burn in and stuff

IMO...The step higher than M2 would be Monster turbines,
 
RE-2 is more on the levels of M1/ Pro Alpha and not comparable to M2. RE-2 has its own distinct neutral sound which is loved by a lot of people but its definitely not for people looking for lot of bass unless they don't mind connecting it to Fiio E5 for more thump and sort of muddy bass.

Personally I find RE-2 to be as good as the M1/Pro Alpha with each having its strong and weak points. Overall the M1 is slightly more detailed and overall a better product due to the complete package of accessories etc.
 
Hmmm if want to spend more , then you can probably consider M3, used DDMs etc :P In headphones also there are quiet a few options .

The thread started at 1.5k and within few hours moved onto 5k :rofl:.
 
so should I extend my budget to 5k and get something better or go with MEElectronics M6 or Brainwavz M1/Pro Alpha ?
 
Personally for the genres you have listed, I feel M2 is perfect. You need not spend more . Save it for a better source or headphones :).
