Hi,

Need a good business phone.
Features required are
1. Ability to read and edit office applications
2. Transfer files either via bluetooth/Wifi/etc
3. Symbian OS is a must
4. Stylus is preferable for ease of use as is touchscreen
5. Good battery life
6. Good resolution to view web pages
7. Large contact list mem

Not required and lowest in priority
1. Camera
2. Ability to play music/radio
3. clam shell model

Have zeroed in upon the Nokia E61, Nokia E60, Sony M600i.....are there any more choices in this range.
Looking for something around the 15K mark

you hit the nail right where i was looking at, i am also looking at upgrading my mobile.

my budget is about 18-20k.

i am also open to not to bulky pdas.

will be following this thread eagerly.

i am also looking for a businees phone...i have read so many reviews available on the site and according to them E61 is the best business available in the market

E61 is the phone for ur requiremnt, cos if u read review, from business point of view it even gives the 25k phones a run for their money

And also give a look to E65.Dont know about the price but the local nokia dealer was saying it would be around 15k but i doubt that.

i would suggest SE M600i as you require a touchscreen....and u dont need a cam... E61 doesnt have a touchscreen... go for the M600i

I would second e61 but if you find it too wide then e65 will fit the role well.
And i will not suggest you the m600 . . It is not quite as stable as nokia symbian phones. . Morever the ui is quite inconsistent

@aka911, is the E65 available in india?

i'm using the E61 right now. i'm quite satisfied with it, though it would really help to either have a side scroll wheel or touchscreen.

am itchy to upgrade, but looks like i'll have to wait a little longer before the E90 is released.

Hi,

Finally settled for the E61. Written below is a brief description about some of the other phones I had in mind(and given in reply to another thread that I had posted in this forum). WIll give a review with pics of the E61 soon.

Techhead, Got the E61 for the wifi. WOuld help at home and office to access mails. difference of 3K was justified in the end.

Purchased from Alfa, Irla. That place is madness. However atleast things are displayed with prices and basic info.

Also tried out the SE M600i and Nokia 9500. The SE keypad was totally useless for my hands. I could see myself writing gibberish if I laid hands on that weirdish KB design. However it has got some good reviews online.

I couldn't fig out how to lug the Nokia 9500 all the time. That is shaped like a briefcase. And there is no way one can put it in his trouser pockets and look decent. Atleast with the E61, it is slim and can easily slide into the shirt pocket.

Also while typing on the E61, it felt the most natural and comfortable for my big fingers.

Also had my eyes on the DOPOD but couldn't take a chance for looks. Atleast the Nokia has a proven track record and quite a few ppl I know use the E62 and like it for its functionality.
