PC Peripherals Which is the best CD Writer?

I bought an LG GCE 8526B (cd writer) 5 months back (i was a total idiot not to buy a dvd-rom combo back then)
I bought it for Rs.1350. Now the price must have dropped down to approx Rs.1200 (since Samsungs are always approx..Rs.50 below the LG models, and the samsung model is Rs.1125)

I've had absolutely no problems with it. (My friend bought a Samsung, and trust me, its a headache).

I bought an Liteon SOHR5238S (cd writer) 6 months back.

It has become crappy now it takes 6 mins to write a CD at 52X. :@

Never buy Liteon & Samsung IMO as I have a bad history with them. :@
 
well im plannin 2 buy a Dvd writer, cant rely on CD writers, low space,

I hv a Sony CD writer bought a year back, made a mistake, shd hv bought a Dvd Writer den,
 
^^ yea right! about a year back, a dvd-writer would've cost you around Rs.6000-7000!!
 
LG, Asus and MSI have good CD-Writers. I'm not sure about Gigabyte, most of their drives are rebadged Liteon drives (so are Sony's infact). :)

I agree 100%

My Liteon 522452 and 523252 CD Writers were abs fantastic - not a single coaster using Moser CDs. But I will not use a Liteon DVD writer.
