Which is the best Video Player & which one do you use?

i have been using media player classic with the KLite Mega codec pack for years now.. one of the best players i have come across..

auto subs seems like quite a sensible and useful feature.. will check it out.. does this player have its own built in codecs like vlc or it can use external codecs like the media player classic and windows media player???
 
mpc and xmbc is what i use but facing problem since 2 weeks for both :/

windows 7 don't responce and stop at start when the programs are run.

yes it has codecs in a built in package.

Only thing one needs to do is change the language since it is chinese by default.

After that no need to tweak them plus it supports hardware acceleration using gpu for x264 or h.264 codecs.
 
XMBC helps to organize my media.... the new version gives me data of the movies and tv shows i have... Files zipped and broken are shown as single file inside the player which saves some effort from my side
 
I think you'll have to give a try to all the players yourself. Try the latest versions of the following players :

MPC

VLC

KMP

XBMC

WMP with k-lite codec pack

better still try all of the above and share your own views on the same it'll be a good reference for TE'ians.

On win7 I prefer VLC and WMP.

On XP I use VLC, KMP and MPC.

I stay away from Codec packs because they make a lot of unwanted changes, too complicated, requires a lot of time to set custom settings and they've some driver issues with GPU acceleration. BTW I use K-Lite/Mega a lot but after KMP and VLC improved their HW acceleration I skipped on K-Mega completely.
