Hey all the Guyz here at TE.
I'm planning to buy a wireless internet connection for my laptop as right now there are so many Products out there in the market like TATA PHOTON,BSNL EVDO blah blah etc etc. so,i'm confused which one to get :S ...
so,i need help from you guyz to make a right pic.
as most of you have owned the connections i need feedback of your ISP's from you in terms of
1)Service
2)Speed
3)Connectivity
4)Network
5)Price

ohh & the basic use will be surfing only.. NO DOWNLOADING..
 
Idea's Net service is quite good. Used to get 20-25 kBps when I tried it couple of months back. But its a bit expensive.

I also tried Aircel's pocket internet. In Kerala you get only 115kbps on your PC. Thats what CC guys tell, but you get very slow speeds. But its a good one for basic mail checking & chatting on your mobile. The price is also very affordable. Rs.14 for 3days & 97 for 1 month.
 
Depends on your location really. A friend of mine had Reliance in Mysore and while the speeds are okay, you have to watch out for their Fair Use Policy and also for their brain-damaged website which makes it impossible to pay your bills.
 
I have personally used one of these services and my opinion is that, whatever the company promises, take it with a lot of salt:)). Your speed only depends on your proximity to tower and if you plan for only surfing any 56kbs plan would suffice. Do not be misguided by any of the offers as once you have bought a device its as good as a penny.

I will suggest you to ask a demo from all the service providers in your area before making any decision.
