seriously guys...heard many people here sayin that mtnl is the one to go for..but its 3 months waiting time

also there is a 'u-telecom' or somethin like tat and sify, and pacenet

but i ask the computer shops there and they say all suck - their lines fail to respond after sometime and u have to keep pestering them; thats for other than mtnl though

too confused. need all possible inputs on this

I'm in Kharghar,

Sify is available freely but it sucks >>too much of downtime.
Best Plan Night+Weekends256Kbps NightTimeUnlimited-Rs.576-/- +500Rs. installation.:S

TATA INDICOM is available too >>area of availability might be an issue.
Not available in my area though.

RELIANCE Broadband is available in my area >>all unlimited plans via LAN
^^best plan 24Hrs unlimited 300Kbps(37KBps)-Rs.1000-/- + 500 installation:S

If you have Reliance WiMax coverage, go for it. Make sure that you have a decent line of sight and that your connection works flawlessly when they first come to test/connect it. 300kbps Unlimited Rs. 1122 gives ~35-38KB/s.
It works great here, rarely any downtime but pings to India and Asia might not be great depending on the IP-range you are alloted. I'm from Vashi.
