Which lappy for home use?

Hello All,

I had earlier posted a question on buying a laptop for my parents and got some great suggestions. Now I am toying with the idea of giving them my Inspiron 1525 and buying a new one for myself.

My budget - ~50K (the cheaper the better)

Usage -
Mostly home use
surfing
Skyping
photos
my wife may wanna use it for her audio recording/mixing stuff
light technical usage by me (will probably install a couple of VMs)

Features -
Need a blu ray drive so that I can rip BDs and watch them through my Xtreamer
USB 3.0
Wireless N
A good display is a nice to have
Not very partitular about sound
Around 4GB RAM
500+GB Storage
Screen size 14-15

So far I've the following options -
Dell XPS 15
Samsung RC530-S01 (Samsung RC530-S01 Laptop: Flipkart.com: Compare, Review Samsung Notebook)

Any feedback about these? What are my other options.

There are hardly any laptops in market with bluray drive that satisfies for the price paid..

I'd recommend that you get some mid-range laptop & the purchase a bluray drive separately which should cost about 5k. Then install it in your laptop. That way you'll save some money & get a better configuration of your choice.
