Which laptop to buy? MSI GT780R-012US or ASUS G74SX-A1

I am getting a laptop from the US. Earlier I had settled for the G73 but with the new models released, I am thinking of buying either the MSI GT780R-012US or ASUS G74SX-A1. There specs are as below:

Ok, now my personal likes and dislikes about the Asus and the MSI.

Asus: Like
Stealth design
Free Bag and mouse
Bluray ODD
3GB VRAM

Dislike:
No RAID
No keyboard backlight color options
Glossy screen
Low volume
No eSATA port

MSI: Like
Steelseries keyboard
16GB RAM
DynAudio 2.1 speakers
Matte screen
HDD RAID 0

Dislike:
No Bluray ODD
No free bag and mouse
1.5GB VRAM

I am torn between the two. I almost all for the MSI except the deficiency of the Bluray ODD. However, I also am drooling on the Asus stealth design. Please help me try to end my confusion. I would like your honest opinions because I'm really gonna spend a bomb on one of this laptop.

I saw the Asus G74sx 3D version in one of asus stores here in Kolkata,it was having matte screen.Price was really a bomb @ 1,15,000.

Go with the Asus one.It runs cool and silent compared to the MSI as pointed out in notebookcheck.This will be a plus point(especially for a gaming lappy)

in the Indian summer.

16 GB RAM is not much of a use for games which I presume will be the primary use of your lappy.Likewise I don't think u will be playing under the sun with a 3kg lappy so no issues with the glossy screen.In fact a glossy screen is better indoors.I use a X201 with a matte screen and its no big deal except when u are outdoors.

The sound quality of the Asus is inferior to that of the GT780 but if this is the main factor then go for MSI.

The extra 1.5 GB VRAM in the Asus won't make much of a difference.

RAID will make some difference but not much will be noticeable.In fact the only thing worthy of an upgrade to the HDD in the Asus would be an SSD

I will vote for the Asus as well. Superior cooling system and looks much better. Plus the screen is much nicer as well than the MSI

As far as the cooling is concerned the MSI is better ... there are a lot of comparison on both these ... just google and u can reach a conclusion. From what i have read ... MSI even performs better than Asus.
