I thought first 4 characters and version no. is enough for knowing about the quality of the panel isnt it?

Hi
I got
Serial No. MPZP**********
Version No. HN01

How is it qualitywise?
HN01 is a new designation,the only way to know which panel it is means you have go to the service menu
by pressing Info,Menu,Mute,power(during standby) and see what panel it you will find something like 40P1UF3E or 40Axxxxx or 40Lxxxxx etc (note the X could be a alphabet or number like 40P1UF3E),the letter after 40 is the one which will determine which panel it is.

Hi,
My room has a viewing distance of around 8' (room is 10' wide) I enquired at retail shops they are telling 32" is the best. But it looks too small for my room. I wanted to go for 40" LCD TV...
How do you know which size is the best?

Budget = 50K INR

Regards
PRM
According to your room size i think 47" - 55" LCD TVs would be the best option for you.
Suggested brand is LG, this is the only brand which has the full HD resolution mode with wide viewing angle because LG is using the 'IPS panel' in its LCD TV which makes the viewers watch tv from 180 degree angle.

Other brand uses the VA panel in their LCDs, which doesn't provide the wide viewing angle just because of traditional technology.
LG's one of the top leading LCD TV model is 47LV3730 LED LCD TV you found lots of advance feature in this model.....!

Furthermore, you can follow the link this will help you out a lot to know more about the LGs LCD TV.
