CPU/Mobo Which Motherboard?

get asus the 975 wm platform "workstation mobo" .. ifg u cant wait .. i;d say simply get a dual core proccy and mobo from here amdc .. much better for next 2 years.
 
This is like building a garage for importing an M5 after 3 years :bleh: wait a bit.. Let the conroe dubut @ least. I always trust Asus mobos but the gigabyte royal 975X is a good mobo. I have used it with a Pentium D and found it to be very stable.... I suggest waiting and not jumping the gun..
Besides u upgraded to a 6800 as per ur words a few days back... Whats the sense in 'upgrading' so soon again?? Why buy a stopgap product anyways (6800) :P
 
AGP 8X Card plan is cancelled.

now i will get -

Intel Conroe or AMD Socket 939.

Chances of AMD Socket 939 are more.

As i'am not a performance freak.

anything is better than a Intel 2.8A non HT processor.
 
Again I repeat, buying a new setup now is absolutely of no use. You'll always have that grudge..

It happened to me when I bought a P3 and P4 was released within a month. I'll never forget the day I cried cause my classmate could play games while my mobo didn't even have an AGP slot ;)

Haha :bleh:, that dosent mean that u couldnt play games on the P3. U just didnt get a mobo with an AGP slot :tongue:

Didnt AT use the same board for their conroe tests? So how come hes havin probs and they didnt :bleh:

Well I couldn't play NFS 5 on it and it was then that I realised what the problem was :P

@ goldenfrag - I was just 11 then :ashamed:

you cancel plans faster that I could say "gezundheit"...:tongue: anyways like I told ya mate.. after AM2 and the conroe's come out a sedate 939 will do...
If India can buy 20 year old technology (spelt MIG's) then why can't u buy something thats merely 2 years old?? :P

They'll release August but availability might be an issue immediately after launch... give it time till Sep before it reaches Indian shores.

If ASUS doesn't launch any new boards when Conroe is out, settle with the P5WD2 Premium based on the 955X chipset - and if you plan to go SLI, get the P5WD2-E Premium ;)
