which one should i choose - Win2k or Win XP?

Hi all,

I am thinking of formatting my office computer which is currently running on Windows 2000 OS. Before going for the format I would like to know among the two OS which is one is better in terms of resource management, speed etc. etc.

Kindly advise.

I dont have sp3. I only have SP2 (jack sparrow edition)

get xp. its a much more stable OS right now. + many current apps may not even support 200

+1 for xp dude.... also make sure its sp3...

and dont use pirated stuff for comemrcial use.. just kidding... if you do then make sure you dont update the latest WGA update patch my mistake... he he..

its more stable, fast and should give effective resource utilization as its base is win2k only...maek sure you get the corp or prof version.. and not the home version...

If its an old comp, You can get the tiny xp iso straight of torrents..Make sure you see the list of removed items..there may be many versions..Dont go straight for the most smallest in size..
You can change the key to your original one using nlite..:|

btw... just a word of caution, stay away from torrents.. as many have infected ISO's distributed and shared freely... dont use it for office stuff atleast...

i once encountered a infected xp.. could not figure out where the virus came everytime i formatted the comp.... he he... the cd was the last place to look and it was the culprit...
