not necessay my friend.. if you can pair a creative or cowon with a good pair of headphones ... nuf said, going to be as good as iphod

Ipod players are good, but I hate them for two reasons -

1) They don't have good bass (player) and so you need some really expensive earphones to compensate for the low bass.

2. They lack a custom EQ ! Thats unforgivable in an mp3 player. Of course you can perhaps use a mod firmware or something, but not everybody wants to fiddle with that.
