I am planning to buy a separate home for me in coming months, so i was wondering which might be the best option for me to get one ?
1) should i buy a plot in required location and build home in accordance to my choice
2) or should i buy house in readymade or ongoing projects, being taken care by some good builder ? ?

What happen?
Someone kick you out of home. ;)

On a serious note..

Getting plot and building whole house from scratch require so not an easy task..
1.you need to buy plot and register it to your name and that's time consuming...
2.after getting plot you need to visit some of best architecture (if you are building very big house) and tell him your idea, finalize the design, again it's time consuming and require experience...
3.find the contractor that build up house according to your design...
Again in my city there is two type of contract work..
First contractor will look at the design and give you estimate to build your whole including buying all raw material on his own..
Second just give him money for only his time and Labour work to worker and purchase raw material as instructed by contractor...
4.after completing house now is the most time consuming task ever..
Design house interior as you like...

I advise you to look at the ready made apartment or bungalows as per your budget rather than building on your own if you don't have any experience in it...
Hope it helps...

Even after you get a plot registered in your name there are n types of permissions or clearances required to build a house or palace on it. To top it, water & electric connection headache is a different matter.
Best option for you (if you want a house of your own to stay) would be to buy second hand bungalow or flat. Comparatively less issues in that.

If you want a house to run an office from, instead of buying a house, just rent some good office space somewhere. Because there's no guarantee that you will not face disturbance in your new house too.

if you have any plans/needs in mind then:

1) buy land near location of your preference (marketplace, hospital, school etc).
2) hire a building contractor and architect. agents can take care of registration, application submissions etc.
3) buy construction material yourself, so that you can select the best stuff or stuff in your range.

imp: design the interior before you commence any physical construction because it'll be difficult/costly to alter the walls and windows later on.

why you need a 5BHK? that too for a workplace for a single person? and you don't even have plenty of girl fraands

Bada hia toh behtar hia :D , might come handy in future :)

Go rent a separate apartment for a year and take further decisions after that. You are moving away from a joint family and want to buy a 5BHK. This is like saying, "Gaadi khareed rahaan hoon to sedan kyun. Bus khareed loonga, Bada hia toh behtar hia".

Actually, buy a 5BHK. Then your parents will sell their house and move into yours. Cause, "Jagah hain na". TE will get another entertaining thread out of it.
