My dad needs one of these and since i havent gone mobile yet i had to post my query here.
Will be used for checking/sending emails and light browsing in the day. Also recommend plans to look out for.

Get any 3G data card. For now only BSNL / MTNL is available. You can wait for few months, private 3G players like TATA docomo, Airtel, Reliance will also have their 3G plans.
