The OCZ EL DDR PC-3200 Dual Channel Platinum DDR400 did a 312 on DFI at 2.9V

If on DFI at that voltage why not on A8N-E

Also the OCZ EL DDR PC-4200 Dual Channel Platinum DDR533 for 197$ looks good.

Well DFI has some crazy bios options to get the max out of your RAM. The same micron ram that did 250 on a K8N/K8N-E Deluxe did 280 @2.5-3-2-10 1T on the DFI with a bit of clock skew at 3V. I'm running it 24x7 at 250(2.5-2-2-10) at 2.8V and its 100% stable. Another RAM you might wanna look at is crucial ballistix range based on micron chips. They do pretty tight timings (typically 2.5-2-2) uptil 250-260 MHz at moderately high voltages (2.8-3V). The new ones are based upon MT -5BF or MT -5BG ICs and supposedly scale a lot better than what my 1GB stick currently does. IMO micron chips are under rated. The only memory based on micron that did well in the mass market was the OCZ 3700EB (MT -5BC).

Well are the GSkills u said based on TCCD i dont think so.
I want rams based on TCCD as they OC higher at low volts.

I want to OC 1:1 to atleast 275Mhz at 2.5-4-3-7 , can relax times a little more

Also i dont mind wating , i am not purchasing it now at all , after june end o july first week and hopefully prices will go some more down by then.

Well TCCD might not be available for too long now... Since Samsung has stopped making the ICs. If you want them, now is the time to pick them up.

The OCZ nd gskill do tht in ur budget....The ballistic range is costly , aint it??

nd thts wht i meant, prices will come dwn considerably , nd u will be looking at completely diff models of ram which now r out of budget :cool2:

no offense:peace:

Edit: posted in wrng thread

Cent percent sure. Read it on anandtech and also somewhere on xtremesystems.

yep they stopped the production more than couple of months ago.
Right now there is not much to worry but yeah till july stocks of tccd may start to run out and that will make tccd more expensive.

Guys all my dreams are shattered , to get this OCZ El from US. :(

Got a mail from my cousin that she will be comming in december and she is not
going to get me those RAMS as she doesnt have a budget of $200 for me. :(

Guys thanks for your wonderful replies.

Well i have the money to buy the OCZ El DDR500 Plat Rev 2 which
costs $199 + $4.33[shipping] , but now no one in US to get it for me.

Now will have to settle for a Orignal Hynix D43 2x512 MB DDR400 PC3200.
Which cant be said how much can be OCed
some have reached 220/250/260 but it depends on luck or might not even
OC beyond 200.

But OCZ is a guranted OCer and can no way be compared to Hynix on Performance.

Another grave digging but couldn't help warn u ppl. The new OCZ Pt rev 2 sticks (yeah the ultra cheap 180$ 2-2-2 sticks) that you all blindly believed is TCCD is actually TCC5. So They are 5ns chips and not 4ns chips like the older ones. Its believed that they'd do 2-2-2 @200MHz but clock really crappily as compared to the original TCCD. So those of you dreaming of getting cheap TCCD and running it 1:1 may strike OCZ platinum rev2.0 off their buy lists. Seems like TCCD stocks are running out sooner than expected!

Here is a long thread on it.
