i have done some OCing on my comp and can't decide which setting to keep as 24/7....
1st one is currently wat i am running

CPU: 280x9=2520@1.30v
Memory: 230Mhz 2.5-3-3-8 @ 2T

2nd

CPU: 290x9=2610 @ 1.430v
Memory: 238Mhz 2.5-4-4-8 @ 2T

3rd

CPU: 305x9=2745Mhz @ 1.52v
Memory: ~200Mhz 2-3-3-6 @ 1T

in the last setting i have not tweaked the voltage maybe i can reduce it to somewat but it will take some time as for every setting i have to prime it at least 10 hours.

Thanks

Setting 3 looks good... see in case of AMD's in fact even ddr intels (875's)..Infact I feel that latencies play a greater part in performance and that theoretical 7 gbps (PC 3500 dual channel) ain't such a hot thing

To get 2-3-3-6 @ ddr 400 is...in fact 2-3-2-6 is what u should aim at

Now my corsairs make a huge difference and the 2-2-2-5 timings are what makes these much much better than any of the kiddy rams floating around...
1 gig of these in dual channel should stock - stock beat the pants and undies :P of anything here

The 3rd settings .
Basically with A64 ,CPU CLock speed is what matters most.Unlike P4s which are Memory Bandwidth dependent when it comes to performance. The better the Memory bandwidth, the more P4 shines.

SO with A64 you should always aim for highest clock speed with Ram at respectable speeds n decent timings.

1T 200MHz = 2T 230-240MHz at same latencies, cpu speed remaining constant. So it obviously makes sense to have the third setting as it has a faster CPU speed. I'd say push the RAM as much as possible at 1T or else sell this and get samsung UCCC.

wat ever i do i just can't get this memory stable @ 1T after 225Mhz .... so i changed the setting to 275x9 and now memory is 225Mhz 2.5-3-3-8@1T .... i will prime it all nyt and see if its stable ....

Did you try playing around with Read Preamble and Drive Strength?
are we talking in english :-/

just kidding

which are those setting and i have not tried them.... can u put some light on it :D

If its stable, then its either this or the 3rd one as everybody has suggested.

Run a few cpu/gpu/hdd benchmarks and super pi scores, and choose ;)
