Which Sim / Network for good Net speeds on iPhone (Mumbai) ?

I am using the Vodafone iPhone 499 Data Plan.
Offers me 250mb for 499/-, a bit steep !
But the speeds are just about decent.

I have Wifi at Home and Office. So the 250mb for 499 turns out stupid and expensive when I am already paying clost to 2.5k for net @ home and office where I am 90% of times.
I just want good speeds on the go for my emailing and twitter / facebook needs.

Which mobile operator should I go for ?
Prepaid would be a good choice ?

I have been using Vodafone since 8 years now.
Not much idea about other operators. Call network doesnt matter.
Edge should be good !

Mtnl 3g is the best bet here in delhi if speed is the concern.it costs 250 bucks for .5 gb data download so it's economical too. Don't know about the status in mumbai.

Go for 3G. You will get faster speeds at the same price of your current plans plus more free usage. also, its cool to one of few persons you are using 3G while large part of the country is waiting for it

Idea Cellular..256 MB for 199 bucks! Decent speeds, but you need a post-paid connection for that plan AFAIK!

It's an iPhone 3GS ! Yes for 3G

That's not bad. But will add up unnecessary costs for postpaid and I don't plan to use this sim for anything but net.
