which sound card to buy ?

hi guys,

I want to buy a new sound card as my current card audigy2 zs has become quite old.....

Uses are 50% gaming + 50% music

so, please help me in deciding..
 
i have 2 brand new sound cards within box n warranty to offer....
Sound Blaster Creative Audigy SE 7.1 (SB0570) OEM
Sound Blaster Creative X-Fi Xtreme Audio 7.1 (SB0790) OEM
both pretty much within ur range...if interested pm..asap...cheers

Errrmmm I'm unsure of that. :ashamed:

A D2X at 10k odd is sure a worthwhile investment and ideally you should be able to feel the difference!!! :D

There're many users here who swear by the DX and they're all happy with the performance. :)
 
to be honest. the audigy 2ZS isnt old, at least not yet. I have one , and its not that old to upgrade. You will end up losing features , especially if you are a gamer :P

my advice, stick with the 2ZS - I own one too :)
 
@anirudh: What eggzhactly do you mean by old? How many games support anythig above EAX4.0 anyways with a few exceptions like the ones on the UT3's engine.

iirc teh ZS has got eax4.0, u aint gonna score nothing in ur 8k. Better spend them on any other upgrade you need.
 
i got creative inspire T7900 speakers so is audigy2 zs right for it ? I am a gamer who listens mp3.....i dont watch movies on this setup

what r u suffering from? upgraditis, common desease around here treatments include some sane advice from teh gurus (which u've already been administered by greenie), if that doesn't help then u'll have to go n buy the stuff. In 72.5% cases this solves the issue.
