Which SPDIF Cable?

Folks,

Consider following:

1. Motherboard (P5GC-MX) has SPDIF output connector on the board.
2. Mine PALiT NE/9600T+0152 can accept SPDIF input.

So I am wondering as how to go about connecting them together (Marked in red ellipse in following pics). Any pointers?

Thanks in advance.

why? planning to use audio out over hdmi?

Yup... I broke the news to my wifey (she is at her hometown for some couple of months now) that I built HTPC and the first thing she asks me is: "How many wires? Is it a mess of wires?"
So I need to use HDMI.

^^^^^ Greenie, everything in LT's house revolves around number of wires :P The decision to buy a gadget or not depends only on the number of wires it has, not the cost ::ohyeah:

You should have got the cable with the card.

DIY is not for the faint of heart, though it is relatively simple. The motherboard header will accept a 2-pin fan connector, and the graphics card end can be hard-soldered. You have to match the polarity, which should be a simple task.

I hate going OT, but your avatar kind of hints at your reaction to your wife's question :)

So true....more the number of wires, lesser the WAF (wife acceptance factor)
LT, what are your htpc's specs and cost?
