EMI is not a thing if you cant afford to buy something outright, many people dont realize this and fall into a debt trap, the only EMI I would ever consider is for Home loan/Car loan

I’ve seen some cyber cafe guys unlocking the android phone while still keeping the data, i assume they jailbreak the phone to do so?

Because like linux, there are really no constraints on how you want to use your system..
and unlike windows - which is perpetually forcing what MS wants you to do (forced updates anyone?)
Of course there are constraints on what hardware you can use (which is a valid gripe) but the software side of it is fully flexible with no real restrictions / forced diktats
I am not quite sure why your MacBook won't allow you to override the supposed malware block since it has always been a function of overriding it from the system security tab.
Possibly because it's an office machine as you mentioned with sudo right restrictions? Either way, its Hard to say without actually looking at it
This is the real answer. What gets odd though is when this bias results in objectively incorrect statements that go against the core strength of the OS stack in question.
I may find windows unintuitive or frustrating but it would be silly for me to say that windows lacks hardware flexibility.
I may find Linux too technical but it would be silly for me to say that it lacks customizability
I may find Mac OS confusing but it would be silly for me to say that it has usage restrictions / lacks software flexibility

Many ways you can disable that, and for a basic end user, they should update their windows, and despite what the memes on internet claim, forced update only happens when you have been ignoring your update for weeks
look up the issue on Docker's github, many people like werent able to fix that by ignoring in the security page, but yeah my laptop is locked down as well.
A lot of the inconveniences on iOS is on account of the stricter sandbox and isolation, which is good for security but impacts usability if you want to move things across apps.
If you root the phone, you basically remove these guardrails and the Google Play Store has repeatedly hosted apps infused with malware that can gain root access silently and track activities across apps, which is made worse if you sideload modded apps from unknown sources.
Would never recommend rooting on your primary device and would always recommend going for devices that release regular security patches.

On a serious note, I wish windows Phone ( Lumia ) actually took off but no it instead took nokia down with it, the idea was good functionality was great , tiles were amazing but lack of app support killed it ( I also used to use Microsoft une music player at tha time which was an ipod killer for me ).
I do think , we need a third alternate is but I think developement for both has gone way too far along with app stores to allow developement of a third os at this point unless its android based.
Anyway, give me an ngage or an xperia play or motorola backflip over these slabs they make now both android and ios , atleast I could use Nokia 3310 to defend myself against people because of it's strength and all the creative android players Like Lg and htc are dead ..

SD Maid is real nostalgia , used it on Old Android versions like 7,8,9 with Root and Clearing laggy One UI OS on my J7 Nxt. since A12 onwards i havent used sdmaid tho bcuz felt Android has hugely Improved in basis of Memory and Storage Management.
A note that Dev of SDMaid has already released beta version of successor of SDMaid specially tailored for newer android Versions.

What do you mean by ignoring updates?
Isn't it the user's call when to update, if at all?
There are several scenarios which do need an update and it should be the user's decision.
eg for my handheld gaming PC (Legion Go and a Rog ally prior to that), - There is no data on them but games.
I have nothing to lose even if they were to be completely hacked. But the number of times they decided to update and chew up the battery just when I got some time to play (eg a long flight) is not funny
Anyway, I eventually installed Linux (bazzite) on it and am really happy with that - but the broader question still remains...
Regarding your other issue, I don't think you can really judge any OS on basis of experience With an office laptop that almost always has key entitlements curtailed and often comes with MDM and other bloat.
My office laptop is windows - and despite a great config (Dell XPS/ ultra 7/32GB RAM) , its seriously terrible in every way.. but that's not the OS' fault

yes, and do you know how many attack vectors/exploits windows has daily? its either Windows is not secure I got hacked or you force updates for the mass users so that their vulnerabilities are patched, and if you want a MacOS like situation where its upto you? simply grab an enterprise copy from Massgrave.
Linux is the GOAT, that we can agree on, I just wish there was another flavor of Linux which corporate could use aside from MacOS but thats wishful thinking from me
its not just me, I can link the Docker issue where you'll find similar peeps as me where ignoring it in the security page did not work, most of them were on their personal laptops too. And its not just this, its a lot of little things that just piss me off about MacOS,

Which is why I suggested to get familiarized with the OS outside of a locked down machine.
Apart from the shared roots both OSes share, Mac OS in every way (other than hardware flexibility) is a very close cousin of linux
Accessible for laymen and folks who dont want to tinker too much (unlike Linux).
But having pretty much the same level of flexibility as linux (and unlike windows) for power users / folks who want to get under the hood..

I have been an android user since the start. Did use an iphone 4s for sometime and that's about it. Now, I have a strong urge to switch to iphone.
Why?
Apple is the trend setter in smartphone world, the good and the bad trends are all copied by other brands, even if it's not pro-consumer such as notch, removal of chargers/headphone jack etc. Samsung always mocks them and then copy them later. Chinese smartphones have become somewhat of an ios clone.
Android phones now lacks originality. Their updates are slow, and custom ROMs are less and less appealing (brands making hard to unlock bootloaders is one of the reason).
The only thing still keeping me from switching to iOS is price and the ability to sideload apps. And I might just switch soon if an opportunity comes.
Ps : Only attractive android phones for me is Pixel.

I'm switching from a month old Pixel 9 to iOS. I was an iOS user since 2022 and had the itch to upgrade to better refresh rate and display but the usability of iOS and absence of a decent Android Watch made me regret the decision of coming to Android. Never again.

I don't think this is true. There is so much more innovation in the Android space. Just look at all the new camera and foldable tech that we are seeing. If you're talking about software, Android is mostly ahead there too. See all the AI advancements. Apple does UI better IMO, but that's subjective.
I say that as an iPhone user. I use both actually. Daily driving iPhone and Android is the secondary. I don't think there is a default better option for everyone, just use whatever suits your needs.
Most of the advantages and disadvantages of both systems were pointed out already but I have an unusual qualm about Android. I don't think "SMS Permission" should be a thing.
