which to buy :apple ipod touch 4g or archos 48

I love watching videos on the go.Please suggest which of these is a better player in terms of videos.will videos look great on apples 3.5 " retina display or archos 4.8" tft display.
 
If your choice is only for video then go for bigger screen. But if you want to play games and want to use some apps in addition to movies and music then ipod touch is very good choice

Personally i suggest ipod touch because for 2 reasons

1, For 15k we are getting almost 90% features of iphone and 100% in apps and games

2, Front camera, for 15k i think now there is no android phone is coming with front camera with video chatting feature. But in ipod we can able to use facetime,skype and recently google+ also added

So, My vote is for ipod touch 4g. Don't buy or preorder white ipod touch which is bit costlier than black model. you can get 32gb black model for 14 to 15k in ebay but 8gb white model is in preorder for 13.5k in letsbuy

Just get iPod touch, if you are more into games and apps... It suppots almost all apps that an iPhone can do... Even the movie are crips on retina display..

I usually play mkv rips on it using avplayer...

It can play hd too, but temprature rises and battery sucks with hd rips...

The new pseudo 5th gen ipods are actually cheaper. Those imported sets are making it look more in comparison to 4G.

The white one infact is cheaper slightly. Just that it hasn't released yet, I too am waiting for the mid november release.
 
I had a similar dilemma around 6 months back.

I went with iPod Touch 4G. Archos will be a bit bulky to carry.

The video quality in iPod touch is amazing if you have the right app installed. I have AVPlayer installed and it plays all video format flawlessly. i had tested videos upto 720p and all played brilliant.
 
^^ yup, it does... all formats supported,,

only downside with HD rips with itouch is battery and overheat...
 
^^ The heat is not that much. It is slightly above the normal temperature for ipod. I think this would hold good for all the other such devices.
