Apologies to revive the topic as I am not able to make up my mind looking at related threads.

Which TV Tuner would be suitable for my rig (see signature) -

Budget - Less than 2k.

Form - Internal (PCI)

Quality - As good as it can be

Others - Scheduled recording, hardware encoding....

:noob: Do all of them come with remote? What is a MCE kit?

I found AVerMedia AVerTV MCE 116 Plus to be a good one. Not sure about the cost and availability in Nehru place. What about Pixelview and hauppauge?

I'd recommend PixelView Play TV Pro3. I have it and it rocks. It has all the basic features like timeshift, record, radio, etc. Its 1.2k I think.

Get a Hauppage PVR-150 if u find it. Its the best card u can get in 2k.
It has everything from hardwre encoding to MCE remote to IR blaster for controlling set top boxes. :eek:hyeah:

its waaaaaay better thanPVR 150- 2.2k ithink.
leadtek has one of the best PVR software around.......+ its upports PIP, POP(is not supported by 150 i guess)

U can get one from Lord Dagon. He was selling a couple of PVR-150 for 2k odd.

And PVR-150 is anyday better due to the hardware included not PIP/POP...:bleh: Its for use with Windows Media Center.
